Frequently asked questions

• Q: When are you running your classes? When can I have a go? Do I need to book in?
  A: We run classes every day at different times, 4 to 10 classes a day. You can book your class for the day & time that is convenient for you, including today if there are places available. We do not accept walk-ins, your place needs to be booked prior to the class and we operate a 48 hour cancellation policy in case you need to make any changes.


• Q: Are your classes suitable for complete beginners? How long are your classes? Do I need to bring anything with me?
  A: Our taster classes are designed for complete beginners, are 90 minutes long, coached in a group (adults & kids together // 10 people max), with all the equipment provided. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and avoiding high heels.


• Q: Are there any age restrictions to attend a class?
  A: We cater to anyone 8+ years old, there's no upper limit (our most senior visitor was celebrating his 90th birthday).


• Q: When can I start my training on a course? What days do you run course classes? Are these on a weekly basis?
  A: As above, all our classes run every day at various times, including course classes. You can book each class at your convenience and complete your course in 3 days (doing 2 classes a day) or spread it over 3 months.


• Q: Do I need to do a taster class, if I'm planning to take a course?
  A: Taster class is the first class of the course. You only need to tell us on the day that you'd like to continue with the course.


• Q: How can I make a booking? Shall I book online?
  A: Simply call or email us or fill in the form - and we'll advise on the current availability and get you booked in. We reply to all enquiries within 24 hours, most are resolved within 2 hours (during opening time). Online booking is only available for the club members & people doing a course.


• Q: How much does it cost?
  A: £35 per person for a one-off class (PAYG) or £175 per person for the package of 6 classes. You do not need to purchase a package to do the course - PAYG is also fine.


• Q: How do I pay?
  A: Most payments can be made on the day of your class, we accept cash and cards. We require prepayment for groups of 3+ people - this can be made with card over the phone or by bank transfer.


• Q: What happens to my course / monthly pass in case of a new lockdown?
  A: Shall the centre have to close for any reason - all expiry dates will be extended accordingly (although we wouldn't be able to offer refunds, as per our T&Cs).


• Q: Is there parking available?
  A: We do not have our own parking facility. There are 10 pay & display bays across the road (£7 p/h), and free roadside parking on a single yellow line after 18:30 on weekdays & whole weekends.

It is not that easy to find any of the above mentioned features in London, and we are the only archery centre boasting a combination of those :)

Why do archery with Archery Fit?

• if you are a kid: you know who Hawkeye, Merlyn, Green Arrow, Katniss Everdeen, Princess Merida, Legolas, Robin Hood are, right?
• if you are an adult: you will understand your kids better ;) or hit their charts at least!
• if you are in the City: 25 mins by direct DLR from Bank, 10 mins from Canary Wharf.
• if you are not a London local: it will take you a while to get to us buddy, but you can combine your visit with Greenwich sightseeing - Cutty Sark, the Observatory, the Maritime Museum, the Market, the Meridian and all ;)
• if you are a fitness freak: lats, triceps, quadriceps (as well as traps, obliques, rhomboids, abs, glutes and calves).
• if you are bored of fitness: well, we should have addressed you first :) we've got beanbags and live TV!
• if you are worried about your health: consult your GP. Archery is commonly advantageous for your posture and the stuff for fitness freaks, see above :)
• if you are a workaholic: we are too, open 7 days a week, 10 am to 10 pm on weekdays, 10 am to 8 pm on weekends.
• if you are stressed: an archer is a rock which breaks roaring waves in the raging ocean of life. An archer cannot be moved. We know the essence of life. We are floating above life.
• if you are an introvert: you will be left alone, with your bow, your thoughts and your target.
• if you are an extrovert: you will be among other extroverts and introverts (please show respect to the latter).
• if you are a smoker: archery is a sport that won't make you out of breath (although you can't smoke in the centre).
• if you like honey: we are bee coloured and business oriented :)
• if you are pissed off by the British weather: we are indoors.
• if you are a hipster: Instagram photos! (and lemon trees) (and graffiti) (and geckos).
• if you are romantic: open sky, double seating on the terrace.
• if you are not sure: no-one sane is. Come down and try :)
